The Cypress market
What buying and selling in Cypress really looks like.
Cypress started as a small dairy community, incorporated in 1956 and filled in fast with single-family subdivisions. Most neighborhoods come from that build-out, with townhome and condo communities, apartments and two mobile home parks mixed in.
New housing is coming along the main corridors. Townhome projects are in the city's pipeline on Lincoln Ave and Katella Ave, and Los Alamitos Race Course has applied to build out about 134 acres around the track with up to 1,791 homes and 440,000 square feet of commercial space.
For sellers, that matters. Buyers will compare your resale home with new construction nearby, so clean prep, a sharp price and a clear story about your lot and location carry more weight. For buyers, I check HOA dues and any special taxes before we talk about offers.
