Buying or selling in Inglewood? Start with the facts.
Inglewood fits SoFi Stadium, the Kia Forum and Metro K Line stops into about 9 square miles of land. More homes are for sale than a year ago, so pricing and negotiating matter more right now.
What buying and selling in Inglewood really looks like.
Zillow put the typical Inglewood home value at about $750,676 in September 2026, up 1.8% from a year earlier. Realtor.com counted 80 homes for sale that month, 17% more than a year before, and about 30% of listings had a price cut. That's more room to negotiate than buyers had last year.
Much of the housing is older. The Census Bureau's 2020-2024 survey puts the median year built at 1960 and the owner-occupied rate at 36.2%, so there are a lot of rentals, small multi-unit buildings and homes that need a careful inspection.
Rent rules matter here. Inglewood has its own rent law (City Ordinance No. 20-03) next to the state's AB 1482, and which one applies depends on the building. If you're buying or selling a rental, I check that before we set a price.

How much do homes cost in Inglewood?

Does Inglewood have rent control?
Yes, for some units. The city's Ordinance No. 20-03 caps increases for many buildings with 5 or more units at 3% or CPI, whichever is greater, and other covered units follow the state's AB 1482 (5% plus CPI, never more than 10%). Exemptions apply, so check the city's rules for your property. Not legal advice.
